Photo Shoot

Since my baby is the most beautiful in the world (and smartest and talented and...ok ok), we had a fun photo shoot right before his bath. Probably put these head shots in his portfolio ;-)

My favorite more serious look. He wanted his own signature look in this one (kinda like his Dad has his).

WWF Wrestling

In this corner wearing blue and weighing in at a whopping 12 lbs, he is known as the drooling machine, Blake "the worlds bravest bear wrestler" Johnson. And in this corner wearing red, weighing in at 1 lb, soft and friendly as can be, Winnie "the pooh" bear. Keep it clean guys.
DING! DING! DING!

Afro

It takes a lot of time to maintain the long locks on B's head. If I don't brush it constantly then it turns into dreadlocks and then we have to cut them out. Our goal was to let it grow for a full year and then cut it, but I am starting to re-think that plan. But really how do you cut a 3 month olds hair? It is kinda cute though. His three month old pictures are soon to come.

B loves to talk! In fact he is trying to talk to me now as I write this. It's as if he is trying to tell me what to write. He is sooooo cute! I love him so much!

All Apendages Found!

And I me all! B is getting so good at bringing his hands to his mouth and sucking away. He is almost taking the paci in and out (as long as it is clamped on to his claws)all by himself. He has found his knees, feet, and the thing in between those knees if you know what I mean. As soon as I take off his diaper he tries to reach for it. One time when I wasn't looking he clamped on to his twins so hard I thought he would never have childern, he didn't even cry. I had to pry open his little fingers. He just smiled at me as if saying "mom, I'm a boy, this is what we do". Typical! He is starting to sit in his Bumbo, so I added his tray to it and made this his "school desk". After a while his head gets tired and slumps to one side, so I take him out and let him rest. Still has not yet laughed at me since the first time. He has for Mike once. I keep trying and he is so close. I so badly want him to do it again. Just to sum up his milestones now at almost three months: 1. Smiles purposely 2. Gurgles 3. Laughes -sometimes 4. brings hands to mouth consistently 5. grabs knees, feet, moms hair, and the third leg 6. sleeps through the night
P.S Nevermind his hair, that is what it does even if I brush it, Especially now that he grabs his own hair with his slobbery hands. His trip to Childrens Hospital went well, except for the fact we waited over an hour, but then again we were late for our appointment. He weighed 11 lbs 7 ounces. His hemangioma appears to be stable which is ok (as long as it doesn't get bigger). We will check again in 6 months. Next stop, three month old pictures (it is going by so fast!!!)

How Precious

B and I were playing "zoom zoom" with his bouncy chair (it's sort of like magic carpet ride, but with the zoom zoom noise), and he started giggling! I kept doing and he kept laughing to the point he had to catch his breath. It was the most precious thing ever! I tried to get Mike to get the camera, but by the time that happened he was done and in a full out cry. How am I supposed to punish this child later when he is so darn cute! He can do no wrong in my eyes (yet at least). I hope next time we catch it on video so that I can post it. He just melts my heart. I love him so much!

First Day Back to Work.

Some minor bumps in the road. First of all, Mike is sick and would just love to lay in bed all day, but nope, he has his first full day with him. I called him around noon and he said "I'm only half way done, and I need a break". I swear it is harder to raise kids then to actually go to work. Second of all, I didn't bring enough empty bottles/bags to fill with my milk. I resorted to cleaning out my water bottle and using that.

Pumping at work seems to be going ok. I am glad I was able to pump before I headed to the nursery for ultrasounds or else I would've breastfed all the babies. It did make me miss my little man for sure. I had to be at work at 6:30 this morning and when I left the house at 5:40, B was up and in a full cry. I like to think he was crying because he knew I was leaving (not because he went 7 1/2 hours without food, the longest yet). Mike keeps sending me pictures of him and I told him to show him pictures of me so he doesn't forget me, hahaha. I can't wait to get home!

I am so tired! I am not used to getting up at 5 am and staying up! I usually go back to bed and Mike feeds him at 8 am.

I keep wondering what they are doing and if he is being stimulated enough. I wonder if he knows I'm not there.

On a lighter note, at least I don't work 5 days a week (even though I work 12 hour days) and it is definitly reassuring to know I am not leaving him at day care!

It sucks now because I can't use the excuse of having braxton hicks contractions to lay down for an hour at work! Plus, no one helps me push beds anymore and no one cares that I have to reach over people in the ICU. I guess since I don't have a belly there is no more sympathy.

Well, when I get home I am going to snuggle the crap out of my baby!

Christmas Update

It is so much fun watching B look and laugh at his toys. He finally figured out that he can see and sometimes touch the toys that hang down from his bouncy chair. He gets so excited and swings his arms and legs around. This is good news for me because it means that he can entertain himself and I can get a break. He is looking at his toys now while I type this.

Christmas went so well. B was such a good boy. Probably because he slept most of the time. He got so many toys and books. We are so blessed to have such loving families and everyone was able to attend the festivities. I'm glad that neither Mike nor I have holidays that we dread due to family squabbles. We always have a good time.

Looking forward to the annual bowling tournament. Another birthday for my dad and my niece. It is always fun to watch such stiff competition. My brother-in-law won the trophy last year, hopefully B wins it this year ;-)
